I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 17 years of experience in providing therapy for adults, children, and families. I received my undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, and I received my Master's level social work degree from the School of Social Service Administration at The University of Chicago.
My previous experience includes an internship at Jewish Child and Family Services, where I provided therapy to children and teens who had experienced trauma. I also previously engaged in an internship at Between Friends, where I offered supportive counseling to individuals who experienced unhealthy or abusive relationships. In addition, I also worked for 8 years as a therapist and then as a supervisor at Community Counseling Centers of Chicago, where I provided therapy for adults, children, and families who have experienced issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and other life challenges. I then transitioned to Alternatives, Inc., where I spent 2 years supervising a team of therapists dedicated to offering an array of therapeutic services to teens and young adults. In addition to my current therapy practice, I have also taught in the social work programs at The University of Chicago and Concordia University.
My approach to therapy is integrative, drawing from cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and systems theories. This integrative approach allows for our therapeutic work together to be tailored to meet your specific needs. And, most importantly, I keep a strengths-based approach throughout our work together, continuing to highlight and build on the strengths you already bring to the therapeutic process.
